Association Francophone de Campbell River


The Francophone Association in Campbell River (AFCR is the acronym in French) is a not-for-profit organization incorporated in 1978.  It is managed by volunteers and  funded mainly by Heritage Canada.  

AFCR’s mission is to share and promote the French language and the francophone culture in Campbell River area.  It is there to serve the Francophones and Francophiles of all ages: parents, kids, youth and adults.

  • Weekly electronic bulletin
  • Training / workshops on various subjects

  • Social and cultural activities in French
  • Weekly community meal on Friday at noon
  • Outdoor walks and edible mushroom picking expeditions
  • Epiphany celebration (January)
  • Games nights (bowling, cards, Rummy, etc.)
  • Group travel to participate in the francophone festivals in the province
  • Corn Roast (September)
  • Membership fees: Family = $ 15, Individual = $ 10, student = $ 5

L'AFCR est fermée le samedi, dimanche et lundi.
